Rockin’ Rollin’ And Ridin’ CD Review and Giveaway

Rockin’, Rollin’, and Ridin’ is a children’s CD featuring 23 minutes and 6 new songs from Rebecca Frezza and Big Truck, plus two fun remixes and fun video. The guest on the CD is Roscoe Orman best known to millions for his 35 years as “Gordon” on PBS-TV’s Sesame Street.

We loved this CD. Songs are fun, music is up and going and my little girl loved dancing to it.

“Rebecca Frezza’s focus is on creating music for a largely forgotten audience — kids who are too old for pre-school tunes, but who not yet into mainstream adult “pop” music. Says Rebecca, “Once kids start elementary school, they don’t have easy access to age-appropriate music. They’re not listening to Raffi any more, but they don’t have music that’s ‘just for them.’  So I’ve tried to write music that speaks to the everyday lives of these kids, but is smart, funny and appealing to parents, too. It’s important for me to stay true to who I am and not try to mold myself to fit the trend-of-the-moment. I am a dedicated mom, a teacher, a dancer, a singer and a songwriter attempting to create moments of musical connection between parent and child and sibling to sibling. I’m writing music to pop in the car on a road trip or play on a Saturday morning when the kids are hanging out. Music that won’t make the older kids and adults want to run screaming in the other direction, but will give the younger ones something to latch onto and, I hope, love.”

“Roscoe Orman is a multi-dimensional artist who came of age during the politically and culturally transforming decade of the 1960s.  He considers it paramount for his work to promote the social and educational enrichment of his audience, both child and adult.  Roscoe’s more than three decades of association with PBS-TV’s program Sesame Street (as the beloved “Gordon Robinson”) has allowed him to pursue his mission to people around the world, as actor, entertainer, writer, lecturer, and children’s advocate.  Through his work on Sesame Street, Roscoe Orman has become a symbol of fatherhood to an entire generation. He has hosted many child related events, including national telethons for the prevention of child abuse and violence among children, as well as the Children’s Defense Fund’s Stand for Children and New York City’s Kids’ Day events. It was at one of these Kids’ Day events where Roscoe first met and collaborated with Rebecca Frezza & Big Truck, leading to Roscoe’s guest appearance on Rockin’, Rollin’ and Ridin’.”
