Queen For A Princess

For the past year I was searching for just the right choice of bed for my daughters room.
Last year we redecorated her room, new paint (pink, yellow), new bed set (remember room in a box for toddlers Princess). Everything seemed perfect, except I was never satisfied with the bed.
I love room in a box collection for kids, but it is for toddlers and really small. She outgrew her little bed (the crib, toddler bed mattress) a long time ago.
The popular choice always was full size bed. I love the option that it is bigger than twin size bed (always a first choice for kids) and with twin and full size beds you can always find adorable bedding with all the cute and popular characters.
Than we went to the Value City Furniture that has opened recently in a location near us. We searched, and looked and compared. And of course the biggest decision maker was the money and how much to spend.
Than we were surprised and pleasantly may I add because since it was a store opening week they had a special on queen beds. Yes for the price of a twin we have bought a queen set of mattresses.
I couldn’t be happier and little Princess is enjoying every minute of it. She loves her new bed, and so do I.
Only tough part is no cute bedding’s (well no characters on it from cartoons) because they only come in a twin and full, or maybe I just didn’t find them in a queen.
But there are some cute ones for girls and we are slowly making a collection.
Funny that our little girl has the same size bed as we do LOL now just to convince her not to come in our bed every morning

we are working on making Will’s room a more big boy and will be doing a fullsize bed too.
We love Value City Furniture! Most of our major pieces are from there.
Since Princess Nagger prefers to play on our bed, maybe we should ‘upgrade’ her to a queen from twin…that might just do the trick!
I loved buying my little girl’s bedding at Target. I ended up getting the little pink and while flowery set from the Shabby Chic line. It is so dainty and girly and I believe will last her for years to come. Into her teenage years if she desires. (which I’m sure we’ll change before then!) You could then add lots of princessey (is that a word?!) accessories and toys. I just love it! Make sure to post some pictures for us to see!
Wow can you be my mommy? LOL that is super sweet, now how about a picture of the done room … LOL. I know I ask so much!
What a great deal! Can’t wait to see the final product!!
I will be re-doing Ryan’s room within the next couple of months. He just turned three so we need to switch him from the crib to his big boy bed. I am dreading it and looking forward to it all at the same time : )
