Parenting At Its Finest

As parents we are always proud when our children do something good. When they listen to us. When they repeat something good we thought them.
And than there are those times when we wish they just didn’t hear us. Times we want to run away and hide!
I’m not going to sit here and tell you that I don’t curse. Oh man, I do and way too often. Really!!!
Honestly I don’t think my parents or in-laws ever heard me curse, maybe ones or twice and that was because I had no clue they have entered the space and could hear me.
I know, I know…such a goody-goody, which so I’m not!
Not ones doing the day, but sadly many times if something goes wrong I’ll say “Oh, shit!” and well I don’t consider it as bad as lets say “Oh, f**k!”
Now my kiddo has heard me say that word way too many times! To my amusement she has never said it!
Than earlier today she was sitting in the master bedroom with me folding laundry and Hubby was working in his home office. Both doors open, those rooms are next to each other.
He was working on something, and apparently something wasn’t going right when he repeated several times “Oh, man!” and in a tone that said he was out of options.
After the third time I heard my little Princess yell from the bed “Daddy, don’t say Oh man, say OH SHIT like Mommy does!!!”
LOL I was hiding in the closet laughing so hard, but of course I didn’t want her to see that. At the same time that was cute, funny and well something I didn’t want her to say… And it made me realize how many times a day I actually say that…
I’ll tell you, way too many… “Oh, shit!” OK I’ve said it again
