Mom You Are Old

This morning while helping Princess pick just the right outfit for the breakfast I was not expecting the next conversation to take place. Especially not with a 4 year old LOL!

So I’m helping Princess with her shirt and all of a sudden she puts her little hand on my shoulder and said the following!

Princess: Mom you are so old!

Me:————–(searching for the right thing to say and thinking where are all my face creams)

Princess: Old Mommy…Old Mommy…

(she made a song about it, very catchy I may add)

Me: OK, Mommy is “old” and you are young?  (finally and hey I couldn’t come up with anything better, because I was fighting to not laugh and I was just a bit worried LOL)

Princess: No Mommy I’m not young, I am pretty!

And she left the room…not long after Hubby calls from work, and we sure had a good laugh about Princesses discovery that Mommy is old LOL

    Our boys love to give my mom a hard time about being old. Especially when our 5 year old found out she has gray hair she has to dye. Oh kids!

    That is awesome!! LOL!! something similar happened to me last week..It was hot and me and the girls were playing in the backyard in the little kiddie pool.. I put their bathing suits on..and my 3 1/2 year old said, “But you can’t put yours one cause you are too big and old to play in the pool!” LOL, Thanks, Allison! :)

    I’m 33 and me and my 19 year old employee had a similar conversation. EECK. I told her to shut it if she wanted to live :) Too much?
