Is your workspace really working for you? Where is your workspace?

Sometimes we need more than just a table and chair. Sometimes we need our workspace to feel inspiring.

It doesn’t matter what our work is…we could be writing, reading, researching, blogging…it’s important to feel energized and ready for work.

Are you more comfortable working behind the closed doors?

For me it’s about the space. I never liked small crowded rooms (which we have plenty here). When we were picking our working-spaces here in this house, I was so ready to pick any room other than our assigned office.

Hubby on the other hand was more than happy with that small oddly shaped room. For him privacy while he works was the most important.

I was left with the living room…a tough job to decorate around the big writing desk I have. But in the end we both made our work-spaces work for us!

Designing a living room with an office in mind is like putting a finger in your eye, or at least it’s like that for me. I can’t stand clutter and messy rooms, especially if it’s a first room people see when they come over.

The easy part about the small office no matter how messy (and trust me it’s a mass that I’m not allowed to go in LOL) is that the door will close and no one will know…well other than some unfortunate soul that picks the wrong door LOL.

With the office space in the open I have a storage challenge, where everything goes and how to look neat and good at all times. Everything has to be pretty, stylish yet functional. And even though this sounds easy enough with all of the choices today, well it’s not!

It’s probably the shape of the room that makes me feel which ever way I turn that office part is sticking out and taking all of the attention…my workspace is sure an attention grabber!
