Long And Beautiful Day

Our day started early which is kind of strange for a weekend. Usually we get at least an hour if not two longer to sleep, Hubby is off and there is no hurry to start our day so early on the weekends.
This morning was different. We all got up an hour earlier than usual and after a busy morning (you know how those are, breakfast, coffee…and the rest) we relaxed for a bit.
Well some of us did. Princess was watching a video, Hubby doing some work on the computer and I was preparing our deck and the rest for the perfect day of swimming.
True we don’t have one of those big, fancy pools, but we love our nice family pool from Walmart, that we got last summer and I’m so happy it is perfect this year too.
Made lunch early and dinner. Visited some of my fave blogs (you know no day would be perfect if I didn’t do that) and than we just relaxed in our pool.
I miss days like today. Days with no worries, when everything seems perfect, you have everything you want and your family around you.
After dinner we played in the yard. LOL it really makes you feel like a kid again just running around and playing the way your child does. No wonder she always has a smile on her face!
In the evening it started raining, but that really didn’t stop the fun. A little summer rain never hurt anyone.
And now when all is quiet (well other than fireworks a week early LOL) we all are relaxing. I’m sure you guessed my way. Princess is sleeping, Hubby is on the Internet and so am I. But not for long as we have planed an evening with a movie and some snacks (healthy at least for my fat …) and just finishing this perfect day perfectly!
LOL as I’m working on this post he keeps asking me do I know where is some case with CDs the funny part we are in the rooms next to each other and we are sending each other messages trough Google Talk…weird people we are, but who cares!

The weather couldn’t be more beautiful this weekend! I’m going to go outside and read and maybe drift off into a nap under the breeze.

I love those Wal-Mart pools : ) My parents have one and I am always taking Ryan over there to swim! And love the playing in the rain thing. I always think there are just some things kids should be able to do sometimes and one of those is playing in the rain (mix matched clothes, pizza for breakfast, jumping on the bed). Some rules you just have to break once in a while : )
