Little Projects

It’s funny how sometimes I don’t even know why I make all those little projects for myself. It’s fun I guess. As you all know in the past two three weeks I’ve been busy with painting the bath and even though that is all done I still didn’t get any shower curtains or accessories, so that’s the reason I didn’t post any pictures. At the same time I started painting my daughters room and there is still some details missing, like window treatments, and some final touches. But in time I’m sure I’ll manage it all. It’s not easy, and even though Hubby has been so great and helping me every chance he gets, most of the work is done just by me :)

Here is just some things I did recently.

We got this bench as a hand me down for our daughter when she was just a year old. And I believe even to this day she has no clue what does the writing on the bench mean :) See I really never put her in the Time Out, well at least not on the bench LOL

So here is the picture of the bench before:

And the bench now:

I know the pictures are not great and I seriously blame my old digital camera that fell so many times Ugh!

The idea was to make the bench go with the new room, I wanted her to have something cute and girly. And it really was the rocking horse that inspired me the most. That was yet another thing she got as a hand me down and it was the same as bench before, and my Mom did an amazing job making it personal for little Princess. At the time we didn’t know how her room colors will turn out, this was done two years ago so the colors are different but so cool.

I don’t have any before pictures, just an after:

I did take some pictures of her room, but they came out so bad i don’t want to post them since they don’t really show the real shades of the colors. So I’ll retake those and show them than.

Now lets move to the bath LOL The bath is unbelievably small and cramped, and it was so hard to pick the right color for it. I tried pink shades and it just made it look very weird. Now the new color makes me feel like I’m inside of the Tiffany Box (yes the jewelry store).

But not the exact shade since I’m well known to complicate the things, so the shade I got was Vienna Turquoise and I seem to like it (well I still didn’t repaint it did I). The cabinets are in white, not that there were originally, no they were wood and ugly.

So here is the bath before:

And yes please don’t ask what’s with the closet shelves (I get paranoid about the germs) and even though I cleaned it all we had just moved in last year when I took those pictures.

The new bath:

Some notes about the new bath, OK first the frogs are out, they are there just temporary since my daughter likes them and till I find the right thing. Also I so badly need new towels LOL and I so need new pictures. And on the good side, I love the new hardware we got, it has Satin Nickle finish and it’s cool, also the cabinet (in my opinion) looks so much better white :)

And that is it for now :) the next will be showing of my daughters room that is so adorable.
