Little Projects Part Two
November 10th, 2008 | 356 views | by fireflyJust to add to the previous post about promised pictures of the before and after of my daughters room. Couple of notes before anything, first sorry about the messy before pictures, as I’ve said before those were taken a day after we moved in last year. Second, the pictures of after are not so great, since my camera was testing my patience big time LOL So after several tries I did menage to have somewhat recognizable shots
The before:

And a bonus picture of the nightstand that I believe was made in another century LOL that is good storage but very ugly on the eyes LOL at least it was
And the after:

And that is it… Did you by any chance notice the nightstands? Well since they have 4 drawers and a ton of space I decided to keep them and just make them pretty for a Princess room. So I painted them pink, and did a little flowers on the drawers (cute).
The bed, toy box (that doubles as ottoman) and shelf with baskets is a Room in a Box set that I got last week. I made her closet look different than the rest of the room just to make it a little bit more interesting, and to somehow match I did door and window trims in the same pink.
The border is with the fairies and so cute, and it was so easy to apply. Also on the walls there are little wall stickers fairies and princess.
What is left: I’m going to make that lamp into a girly lamp LOL (just in case I don’t get a new one), in the end I know I’ll take the challenge and just redo the existing one. Also we’ll get some princess art work and I saw some cute at Target. And of course the window treatments that I’m debating between getting the already made one, or just getting the stuff and making it myself.
That’s all for now

That turned out so cute and girlie!!! I love the color combo. I’ll bet she absolutely loves it!!!!
it looks adorable! I bet she loves her big girl room! Great job.
Thank you ladies so much
and believe me it looks much cuter than pictures show (I’m thinking of asking Santa for the new camera LOL) and to tell you the truth I’m still asking myself do these colors really mach (they looked much more good together on the color sample cards LOL) but Princess loves those colors, and was asking for the yellow room so she got it (I think she can’t decide who she likes more Princesses, Fairies or the cool Spongebob)
i am in love with the nightstands and the painting on them. soooooo cute and girlie!
Thank you
it took me like 3 nights to have them done
but they are cute!
Love the nightstands, cute paint colors!
Very cute!!!
