How To Make A Crochet Market Bag

6

market bagHandmade market bags are so in. They are reusable, green and best of all something you can make on your own if you like to knit or crochet.

There are many different patterns you can use, colors as well. It’s all about what you like and how well you can knit or crochet.

Here is a relatively easy pattern for a pretty market bag, that will need for you to know how to crochet and understand how the pattern goes. The craft time is about 10 hours for it to be completed (just take your time, there is no need to hurry).

Materials needed:

  • Lily Sugar’n Cream® Yarn (56.7g/2 oz./86m/95 yds): 7 Balls of #21143 Country Stripes
  • Crochet Hook, size 5mm (U.S. H or “8″) or size needed to obtain gauge

Instructions:

Gauge:

13 sc and 14 rows = 4-inches [10cm].

NOTE:

This bag is worked from one top to the other top, then stitches are picked up down each side of the work to make the handles and other two top sides. Once these stitches are picked up and the handles are made, the bag is completed. The top of this bag has 4 sides.
