How Often Do You Communicate

Do you think there is enough communication in marriage? Do we all need to communicate a little more with our significant others?

Marriage is a complex thing. I’m not saying complicated, but something you have to work on trough the length of it.

Have you ever wondered, how much communication, or better yet lack of it affects marriages?

There are times in life when we find ourselves out of the words. We sit and avoid to talk things over. We suspect and accuse. Not really listening or not having that conversation to hear all the sides.

“Good communication in marriage is a two way street. Good communication in marriage is respectful. Good communication in marriage is quantitative. Good communication in marriage probes for more insight. Good communication in marriage is honest.”

Next time the opportunity comes, don’t just avoid each other, have that little much needed communication. It will do you both a world of good, even if it only lasts for fifteen minutes a week.

Tell me: HOW IS YOUR MARRIAGE COMMUNICATION?

PS. We are not having any issues LOL just thought I should add that…I was just wondering as always! Because it seems Hubby and I talk way too much to each other LOL

  • After a miscarriage our marriage was at it’s worst. We went to couples therapy and that was a good place to start. But we just had so many old feelings to work through. It’s been a long road but saying if something bothers us at the moment we realize it really helps us. Instead of letting stuff fester.

  • We had the hardest time after our daughter was borne.. It was a strange year or two. We basically didn’t see each other, between new baby and Hubbies 12 hour shifts. So our communication back than was equal to 0. Now we really talk about everything…maybe a little too much ;)

  • Rick and I went threw a VERY bad time not talking and things went down a very bad path. Thankfully we made it out, but it showed me how much communication can affect ones life!

  • I hear you girlie. I tend to keep things to myself, and it really did no good for us.
Glad you were able to work things out :)
