Homemade Chocolate Frosting

Last week I was making a quick dessert for my family and guess what? Yes, I didn’t have any frosting in the house.

Good thing I know how to make one LOL, for those times when I don’t have any and I need it.

It is actually very easy to make and it takes just a few ingredients we usually have in the house.

Homemade Chocolate Frosting

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup Butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1/3 cup Milk
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 3 cups Confectioners Sugar

Directions:

Take a large bowl and combine butter and cocoa. Beat them together, until they are well blended.

Add milk, vanilla and salt to the bowl and again, beat the mixture, until it becomes smooth.

Gradually, add in the confectioners sugar. Continue beating the mixture, until the frosting is smooth and creamy.

Your chocolate frosting is ready. If you want a thinner consistency, you can add more milk and beat well.

ENJOY!!!

I told you very easy ;)

That looks great! I’d probably make it all the time w/o a cake in sight……

I have to admit I can make a cake from scratch but I have never made the frosting from scratch. I am a slave to the tub!
