Happy Valentine’s Day With Red Velvet Cake Balls
February 14th, 2010 | 1,218 views | by fireflyI was thinking what to write today. What would be the best way to wish you all a Happy Valentine’s Day? And than it hit me.
The best way would be to give you a little something that you can make with your family
Below is the recipe of the amazingly yummy red velvet cake balls! Enjoy and have a wonderful Valentine’s Day!!!
Red Velvet Cake Balls
Ingredients:
1 box red velvet cake mix (make as directed on box for 13 X 9 cake)
1 can cream cheese frosting (16 oz.)
1 package chocolate bark (regular or white chocolate we use white)
wax paper
Directions:
Make cake mix as directed on the box. After cake is done (I test it with a toothpick in the middle if it doesn’t stick it’s done) and cooled completely, crumble into large bowl.
Mix thoroughly with 1 can cream cheese frosting. It may be easier to use fingers to mix together, but this gets messy.
Roll mixture into quarter size balls and lay on cookie sheet. Should make 45-50. You can get even more if you use a mini ice cream scooper.
Chill for several hours. You can speed this up by putting in the freezer.
Melt chocolate in microwave per directions on package.
Roll balls in chocolate and lay on wax paper until firm. Use a spoon to dip and roll in chocolate and then tap off extra.
ENJOY!!!
