Handmade Decorations

This is really fun, and best of all you can do it with your kids. They’ll enjoy it and so will you. I made these a while back, we have them for 2 years already, and every time they make me smile. It’s really nothing fancy, or extraordinary, just a fun holiday project that you’ll like year after year.

I’m not even sure for what I was going here (snowman, angel, I guess both).

What you’ll need (and I’m sorry I don’t have step by step to show you) and you can add stuff to it or use what you have, anything goes really:

  • really small (mini) flower pot (thats what I used)
  • a wooden ball for head (or anything really, it could be plastic or rubber, even styrofoam)
  • some paint (it could be water paints, acrylics, or even markers)
  • small pieces of material for clothing and accessorizing
  • you can use shiny plastic bag for wings (like I did it’s a gift wrap see trough)
  • glue to put together the parts

Turn the flower pot and place the ball as head, glue together. Paint, make eyes, nose, mouth. Put fabric as clothing, make hair or hats, make wings and glue together. Let it dry and that is it. (LOL I’m so bad when I need to explain something).

Those are absolutely adorable! What a great idea! I’m inspired – my Little Princess would love to do something like that, so it’ll be a great little project for her and I to work on…thanks!!
