Firefly Fitness Fridays Week 1

Welcome to the first week of the Fit & Healthy in 2010. Firefly Fitness Fridays has started.
This past week has been both very interesting and very hard at times. At some point I asked myself “What have I gotten myself into?”, but for you to better understand what is happening here is a little back story!
I was always fit. I actually never had more than 135lbs before I got pregnant. And remember I’m 5’11″ Doing my pregnancy I have put a lot of weight on, about 70lbs all together. There were several reasons why this happened. My hormones were going so out of place, my thyroid started acting up, and lets face it I was eating like 10, not 2, but 10.
When I give birth to Princess I went home with 204lbs. Doing the first two years I worked hard on losing that weight. I never accomplished my goal to hit that before pregnancy, or even near it. But I did go down to 150lbs at some point, it didn’t last long, sadly.
At some point I started doing a lot of emotional eating. Chocolate, sweets, salty, I would cook and eat like there is no tomorrow. I went back up to 180lbs, and stayed there for the period of 2 years almost. I didn’t work much on losing all that weight, I maintained it. I was unhappy with the things, but never took that step to get serious.
When I got pregnant again last November, I probably triggered many of the hormones that were driving me crazy doing the first pregnancy. And with the miscarriage in December things got even more out of the place. My body never returned to normal , even now, 4 months later.
Lots of stress, no exercise, emotional eating, nerves and now I have more than when my kiddo was born. Last week I was looking at those numbers and just said “No more!!!” I saw that scale with 210lbs on it and I felt sick.
So, now you know what and why. And here it is what I was up to this past week and how it all looks now!
I started doing some cardio, bike 10 minutes a day, gazelle 30 min a day. I did that for 4 days and will continue. I also started 30 Day Shred with Jillian Michaels and today will be my 3 day of level 1.
Let me tell you, my first day I barely made it trough the 20 minutes workout, but I’m so happy and glad that I did it and stayed in! My second day was a lot better doing the workout, but as I write this, my entire body hurts. Again, this may be a good sign. It seems I did it right LOL
Last week I took my weight which was 210lbs, but stupidly I didn’t take my measurements.
I am huge LOL and I feel huge. But I am so proud and happy that I’ve lost 3lbs :) This is a great start, and great feeling. I have to admit, that my exercise is going much better than my food intake. I seem to not eat enough, but at least I started eating breakfast and not just run trough the morning on coffee.
