Dear Santa…already

I guess it’s time already, because this morning we had a list that I’m assuming only Santa can understand.

While attempting to make myself wake up, do all the morning chores and in between squeeze brushing my teeth, washing my face and for goodness sake use toilet without being hit by the door, I noticed my 3 year old daughter being extremely quiet.

Now this only happens when she has done something that wasn’t really permitted or when she played on my laptop instead of hers.

So I walk past her room, the door is wide open and she’s siting on the floor, notebook on her lap and pencil in her hand…ok she’s drawing.

I let her do her stuff while I make breakfast and some much needed coffee for mommy of course. When I called her she plainly ignored me. Than second later she walks up to the dining table, sits down and at this point still holding the notebook and pencil.

ME: What do you have there?

SHE: It’s not for you. (with this she gives me the look and attitude of a 13 year old LOL)

ME: But, can I still see it?

SHE: Well…(long thinking pause) Not really.

Now I’m getting even more into this, I want to see and hear all about that little secret.

SHE: Mom?

ME: Yes baby…

SHE: This is mine…(pointing to the notebook) And it’s for Santa!

At this point I’m thinking…WOW is it time already?

ME: Did you make a picture of Santa?

SHE: No. I made a list. (the smile on her face was priceless)

Oh boy, it has started…THE LIST. It’ll either brighten a child’s face for hours on Christmas morning or leaving her mad that “Santa” didn’t get her everything she wanted.

Last year Santa forgot to buy our son a Nintendo DS…ugh.

So funny how kids think, isn’t it? My son has been informing me of all the stuff he sees on t.v. lately. Perfect timing t.v. land, as if I don’t have enough things to be thinking about already?!
