Blurb-Make Your Own Book With Blurb Review

Today there are many ways how you can get published. There is traditional publishing, self publishing. If you are like me you always have second thoughts about self publishing. It is just all of the limitations that are involved.

Not with Blurb. I was so excited when I got the opportunity to make my own book. The wonderful people from Blurb offered me to make a book with them and I started right away.

It wasn’t hard, I already have so many book ideas in my head and several started on the computer, but with the limited time I wanted to create something fun and really test how Blurb works.

I went to their site and downloaded FREE Blurb BookSmart software. It was very easy and I started right away with the step by step instructions and options. There are so many different layouts you can pick, designs of your cover, pages, how and where pictures are, where the text will be.

You customize your book. It is really so simple and up to you how your book will look. You can chose to have a Photo Book, Recipes, Business Book, your Portfolio, and I have to say my favorite your Blog into a Book. I chose that one, because I wanted to have some of the fun things from my blog on the print.

I loved how I could chose my pages to look different, with as many or as little pictures as I wanted. It was very easy to select the page layouts, fonts, size of the font, color and it was no brainer to know how big pictures I needed, it simply tells you if your picture is too small to be good on the print.

If you are doing a Blog into a Book it is very simple you can import your entire blog right into Blurb BookSmart! For me it was harder, because I’m self hosted but if you are on blogger, WordPress and similar it will be a click of a button.

Due to so many other things in my life it took me about 2 weeks to have my book put together, with pictures, text and layouts I even included several of my favorite recipes from the site.

It looks amazing I put recipe on one side and pictures on the other, I’m telling you I really enjoyed and loved making my book with Blurb BookSmart, because it was so simple and so much fun.

I ordered my book, I chose Standard Portrait (8 x 10) they have many options like (Square (7×7), B/W Text (5×8), Standard Portrait (8×10), Standard Landscape (10×8), Large Format Landscape (13×11)

Than I chose my cover (Softcover, Hardcover Dust Jacket, Dust Jacket Image Wrap) my choice was Hardcover Dust Jacket! The book I made has 40 pages Standard Portrait (8×10) Hardcover Dust Jacket it was $29.95 plus shipping.

I couldn’t wait for my book to arrive and see it. A week later it was here and all I can say AMAZING. The quality of the book is amazing, the pages look so good, the images in the book look beautiful!

I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out, how simple it was to use Blurb BookSmart program, how good and quick printing and shipping of the book was.

With Blurb you can keep your book private or public and sell it in their Bookstore. You set your own price and keep your profits. They made everything so simple they tell you exactly everything there is no hidden fees or hidden anything. This is really the simplest way you can have your book or blog printed.

Another thing that I love about Blurb is you can get as many or as little books as you want. You can order 10 or just one. With other self publishers you have those limits where you have to get so many books and sometimes all you want is one. That is where doing printing with Blurb is simple. You can order one for yourself and if you chose to have your book public, your friends and family can buy the book and books are printed on demand.

If you are wondering what is in the future, well I am putting another book together to publish with Blurb and this one will be public.
